Franklin

Second Stop: Franklin

I was very excited to fit in a quick trip to Franklin to visit an amazing lady, Annette. Annette's daughter was a professor of mine at OCU. Dr. Floreani teaches English, so I normally wouldn't have ever taken one of her classes, but she was teaching an Honors elective. My advisor Dr. Gaudin said that although Floreani wouldn't be the easiest option to fill this "elective" she thought I would really enjoy her as a professor. My advisor hasn't been wrong to this day. Dr. Floreani and I got to do several Ralph Ellison related projects together and realized we had a lot in common (doesn't it sound like the Floreanis and Stancampianos would be friends??). When I moved to NC she was nice enough to introduce me to her mother- and the rest is really good camping stories.

Annette, Pansy, and I hiked up to Devil's Courthouse on my old stomping grounds, the Blue Ridge Parkway. From this point you can see North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Thank you Annette for always providing great food/wine/beer/coffee, excellent adventures, and the best company.
