Emily's boyfriend came to town and was inspired to buy some local fish while he was on the coast. Three pounds of Atlantic salmon became this lovely ceviche dinner, a ceviche salmon and lox, and a kind of baked salmon on toasted ciabatta bread to accompany our salads!

We also did brunch up right while he was here.

I cooked fish!! I bought some wild caught cod and grilled it with parsley, lemon juice, and chives. We have really been rocking out the team dinners lately, so I definitely had help on this! Sarah is 19 and just finished up her freshman year of college. After seeing our epic dinners for a few weeks she asked if she could help us out in turn for us teaching her our ways. This has been fun - and very yummy. She learned Sharon's roasted broccoli and made it for this dinner. I also made some scalloped red potatoes and homemade focaccia bread.

Lemon ricotta cookies with a blackberry vanilla glaze. I had leftover ricotta from the manicotti, so this seemed like a viable option.

Did I mention Emily whips out some amazing meals?! Falafel with homemade dill sauce.
Oh, and sangria.

My friend Tav sent me this super cool new tea infuser system to feed my tea addiction. Little did he realize he'd first be fueling my love of wine. A dry red + OJ + lime juice + apples, grapefruit, and cherries in the fridge all day.

A little breakfast sandwich with soft boiled eggs, bacon, spinach, and tomatoes atop an english muffin.

Okay, Emily killed it again with this one. I had heard about spaghetti squash but didn't actually believe it was good. Totally good - I'd even say great. Emily baked the squash, "spaghettied" it, and added a little cheese, S&P, and kale chips. I'm ready to have it again already.

At Sarah's request we had another family dinner night - this time it was tacos!

After a week of training Sarah successfully went from eating boiled hot dogs and oatmeal (yes, you read that right, and yes, she ate those together as a "meal") to this breaded chicken, homemade alfredo with mushrooms, artichokes, and sundried tomatoes. Who knows what she'll be making by August!

And breakfast this morning!! Woah!
