Silly, Silly Birds

I'm very glad I found this Oystercatcher nest that was outside of the fencing. This pair has been throwing me for a loop, but I finally discovered their tricky little "nest". 

This is a very pretty plover nest, though not built in the best area as it is right along the pond shore.

I enjoyed this nest's seashell decor.

These plovers went for a highly vegetated valley for their eggs.

My boss received an espresso machine for her birthday that I was able to enjoy at our meeting. I jokingly requested plover foam art and she delivered!

My boss loves plovers and has basically dedicated her life and career to them. I made dozens of piping plover and egg cookies to celebrate her birthday!
